Sammy's replacement is home safe & sound.
Looked at two 4runners yesterday, this fellah was the best of the two. Had sat for a year and needed some attention, but made the 400km drive home without hesitation.
Brakes calipers are seized, warper rotors, bad front shocks, and the rear suspension has a couple bad mounts, making for some freakiness and wonkitudinal highway driving.
But it's a solid truck and a great starting point for a good "mule".
Once I get it ready for inspection, I'll start on the diesel swap. Currently leaning towards a VW 1.9aaz, unless someone magically comes out with a Mercedes om617 cyl swap in the next few months.
